Charles “Charly” DeToma, 75 of Palm Coast, passed away in his home on October 27, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Harkins) DeToma. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Leonard and Felice (LaRocca) DeToma.

Charly worked as a carpenter for many years, and in his spare time enjoyed woodworking, baking, bowling, coaching, and gardening (though he didn’t exactly have a green thumb). He was a ‘recliner connoisseur’ and an internet ‘junkie’. He proudest accomplishment, by far was his family, especially his sons. He will be remembered as hard-working and family focused, with a sharp wit, and strong opinions.

Besides his wife, Susan, Charly is survived by his two sons, Alex DeToma and fiancee Ashley of Bunnell, and Dylan DeToma and fiancee Alexis of Palm Coast; his grandson Liam; faithful dog Chloe; three siblings Lori DeToma-Frank of PA, Vincent DeToma of NJ, and Leonard DeToma of NY; as well as 4 brothers-in-law, 5 sisters-in-law, a nephew, nieces, and gran-nieces. He is pre-deceased by his younger sister, Jennie DeToma (NY).

Viewing will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026 from 6-8 PM and Saturday November 7, 2026 from 11:00 AM -1:00 PM at the St John’s Community Center, 99 East County Rd 2006, Bunnell, FL.
